Are you a book lover looking for a fun way to enjoy the summer months while connecting with fellow readers? We’re excited to introduce the Otter Lake Summer Book Club, a brand-new reading group designed to bring our community together through the love of books!
When:
The Book Club will run from May through October, with a focus on great reads that will get you through the sunny summer days and beyond.
How it Works:
Starting on Tuesday May 27th, a new book will be selected each month offering a variety of genres and themes for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re into thrillers, heartwarming fiction, or thought-provoking non-fiction, there will be something for everyone!
Meetups:
After that first meeting, we’ll come together for lively, engaging discussions at 7 pm on the last Wednesday of each month with Wednesday, July 30th and Wednesday, August 27th being in person meetings at The Grand Tappattoo or another agreed-upon location. These will be the primary in-person meetings.
In addition, we’re offering virtual or in-person meetings in May, June, September and October – the details will be confirmed closer to the dates – so you can join us from wherever you are most comfortable.
How to Join:
It’s simple! Just email info@olra.ca to say you want to participate. Mark your calendar for the first meetup on May 27th and get ready to discuss our first book selection. Zoom coordinates for meetings will be sent via email. Then pick up the current month’s book and start reading. All ages and reading levels are welcome. We encourage members to participate in as many meetups as they can.
Stay tuned for more information about upcoming titles. We can’t wait to see you there! Let’s make this summer one to remember with great books, great company, and great conversation!
