On this blustery April 9th, which produced some snow flurries and a brisk wind, the last of the ice broke up on the lake. That means Otter Lake was ice covered for the past 112 days since Dec. 19th, 2019, the “ice in” date when it froze over. The range of ice covered days has varied widely in the last 10 years from a low of 60 days in 2013 to a high of 136 days during the winter through spring periods of 2013/2014 and 2017/2018.
